How Dooap Studio integrates with D365 Finance — no integration project

Two paths into Dynamics 365 Finance
Dooap Studio reaches Dynamics 365 Finance two ways, and a single invoice process can use both. The first path runs through Dooap Core’s integration API — built on a Dooap-developed package installed in your D365 instance, authenticated with Microsoft Entra and an integration user, covering master data, purchase order retrieval, invoice creation, and the rest of what AP automation needs. The second path is direct: Dooap Studio calls D365 Finance’s standard OData API, or reaches it through remote MCP tools.
Dooap Core owns the invoice data and the invoice workflow; Dooap Studio operates Core through the integration API and augments the process with anything from — or with — the ERP.
What this means for implementation timelines
Because there’s no integration layer for your team to build, most of the implementation timeline is spent configuring AI Actions for your specific process — not on integration engineering.
What IT doesn’t have to build or maintain
- No integration codebase to own — the D365 package is Dooap-developed, maintained, and tested against every supported D365FO version
- No middleware between Dooap Studio and D365 Finance
- Entra-based identity throughout, consistent with the rest of your Microsoft environment

- Does this require anything installed inside D365?
- Dooap Core’s connection uses a Dooap-developed package installed in your D365 instance; Dooap builds, maintains, and tests it. Dooap Studio itself runs on Microsoft Azure and connects to D365 Finance directly through the standard OData API or remote MCP tools — nothing extra is installed for it.
- What happens when we upgrade D365 Finance?
- The package supports the same D365FO versions Microsoft supports — typically the four latest major versions — and every release is tested against all of them. Upgrades don’t mean re-engineering the connection.
- How long does a typical implementation take?
- It depends on process scope, but the work is Action configuration, not integration engineering.
